Why colour matters in your brand
Colour isn’t just decoration. It’s one of the quickest ways people form an impression of your business, often before they’ve read a single word.
The colours you choose can quietly communicate things like:
Done well, colour becomes part of what makes your brand feel memorable and recognisable, especially when someone is comparing you with other businesses in your space.
Consistency builds recognition and trust
When your colours are used consistently across your logo, website, stationery and social media, your brand becomes easier to recognise, and that familiarity builds trust over time.
That’s also why I always provide clients with a stylesheet or style guide. It includes the exact colour codes they need, so they’re not guessing or “eyeballing it”, and helps them keep everything consistent as their business grows.

Colours can influence how people feel and what they expect, sometimes without them even realising it. When your palette aligns with your target audience, their preferences, and the context your business sits in, it’s far easier to attract attention.
